Clifton (Without) is a large suburban parish in the north west of the historic city of York, the principle city of the county of Yorkshire, in the north of England. The Parish stretches from the river Ouse in the west to the river Foss in the east and from the Clifton-Moor retail park in the north almost as far as Clifton Green in the south. The parish contains a diverse mix of areas, from the northern industrial and retail regions, to residential areas over the most of the rest of the parish. The area also benefits from the beautiful 'natural' areas of Clifton Ings, Clifton Backies and Rawcliffe Lake which are situated in or around the parish
